COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the course, Teaching Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and strategies necessary to effectively support children on the autism spectrum in the classroom. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that affects individuals differently, impacting social interaction, communication, and behaviour.

In this course, we will begin by gaining a solid understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder, offering a definition and overview to establish a foundational understanding. Participants will learn about the various types and characteristics of ASD, as well as the neurodevelopmental basis underlying this disorder.

Identifying ASD is crucial for early intervention, and this course will delve into the signs and symptoms of ASD, equipping educators with the knowledge to recognise and support students with ASD in the classroom. Co-occurring conditions and comorbidities will also be explored, providing insights into the complex nature of ASD and its potential impact on learning and development.

Assessment and diagnosis of ASD in children will be thoroughly discussed, along with strategies for differentiating ASD from other developmental disorders. Participants will learn practical approaches for supporting children with ASD in the classroom, including creating autism-friendly learning environments and implementing structured teaching and visual supports.

Individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans (BSPs) will be highlighted as essential tools for tailoring instruction and support to meet the unique needs of children with ASD. Collaboration with parents and healthcare professionals will be emphasised as critical for the holistic support of children with ASD.

Sensory integration and regulation strategies, social skills training, and peer interaction will be explored as important components of supporting children with ASD in the classroom. Communication and language development, executive functioning skills development, and emotional regulation techniques will also be addressed to help educators effectively meet the diverse needs of students with ASD.

Finally, participants will learn strategies for promoting inclusion and understanding among peers, fostering an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

By the end of this course, you will have gained an in-depth understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and acquired practical strategies to effectively support children with ASD in their academic and social development.

Great feel good suit
Size: Large, Color: Red With Goden
My husband looked so good in this. The color was popping. The size was true to fit and he’s very tall. Feels so soft and didn’t wrinkle at all. Very good material and fabric. Cheaper than I thought

Poor Quality
This suit was for my nephews school dance. The look is great however, its not of good quality. The material is cheap and looks as though it should be a costume. When my nephew tried it on it looked baggy. I returned the suit but have yet to receive a refund.

Awesome Suit!!
I purchased this suit for my boyfriend to wear to a party. I ordered an XL, he is 6'6" and 230lbs, initially the fit was fantastic and looks amazing but after wearing it and moving around in it for about 30 minutes, the pants started to slip down. The fabric has quite a bit of spandex in it and tends to stretch out after wearing for a little bit, it fits great right after it has been dried but then stretches out again. I ended up taking in the waist a little bit so the pants stay up, a large would likely have been a better fit. But he always looks amazing when he wears it and gets lots of compliments on the fun pattern. Definitely worth it!
