The preservation afforded in the blue-grey limestone shales has left a wondrous result for this fine prehistoric fossilised invertebrate. The subtle colour palettes are created by minerals that have been absorbed for many millennia. Particularly here Copper has influenced the carapace preservation and bright green colouration to the plural spines of the right pleural lobes spines and the genal spine of the cephalon.
The exoskeleton of the arthropod displays every segment of the thorax; the cephalon (head) and the pygidium (tail). The axial rings of the axis lobe run the full length of the body from the first occipital lobe to the axial ring of the pygidium and are in excellent form for this particular type. - Each plural lobe is complete and very well-defined through to the pygidium. This is a firm favourite among us here at THE FOSSIL STORE.
