Midcentury Marcus & Co vintage engagement ring centered with an AGL Certified 1.40 carat Colombian Cushion Step Cut Traditional Minor Oil Emerald and two round cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.60 carats within a 14k Yellow Gold setting. Marcus & Co. was highly regarded during the midcentury era for their exceptional jewelry, known for blending timeless designs with superior craftsmanship. Their creations often featured high-quality gemstones, including emeralds, which were a hallmark of luxury at the time. Colombian emeralds, prized for their vivid green hue and remarkable clarity, often underwent treatments to enhance their natural beauty, with "minor oil" signifying only minimal enhancements. This ring, combining a certified Colombian emerald and Marcus & Co.’s artistry, exemplifies the elegance and enduring appeal of midcentury design.
This ring is accompanied by an original document dated April 21, 1900, from Manila, Philippine Islands, certifying its delivery to Archbishop Nozaleda by Captain S. B. Bootes of the U.S. Volunteers, under the care of Major General Otis. The document, witnessed by interpreter H. C. Tufts, specifically identifies the item as "one emerald and diamond ring," suggesting its historical significance and provenance during the American military presence in the Philippines.

If the set screws were white the shelves would be perfect.

I'd give 4 1/2 if there was one. The shelves thwmself are nice I just don't like the visible little black set screws. The shelves themself look great and are not wobbly at all if you install correctly. I purposely installed the bracket upside down because of the little black setting screws; I didnt want them showing because the shelves are above eye level and the screws are black and I didn't want them showing. But that made the shelf lean amd wobbly so I turned them back over the way they are supposed to be and that made them level and sturdy. I guess I'll paint the little screws.

Kind of on the smaller side but for the price it’s just fine. Easy to install with just a screw driver if you can miss a stud, else you’ll need a drill. Strong enough to hold what a normal person would put on a shelf that size. No worries and it looks great
