Step into the iconic world of 1970s jazz with Jaywalkin', the quintessential album from Danish bassist Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen. This 2025 audiophile reissue promises a fresh remaster from the original analog tapes, offering a listening experience that's as close as you can get to being in the studio with the band.Originally released in 1976, Jaywalkin' captures Pedersen's exceptional mastery of the double bass, highlighted by his precise technique and lush, resonant tone. This album stands as a hallmark in Pedersen's illustrious career, cementing his position in jazz history. With legendary musicians like Philip Catherine on guitar, Ole Kock Hansen on electric piano, and the incomparable Billy Higgins on drums, this record is a superb collection of swing, bossa nova, and complex jazz improvisation.
The title track "Jaywalkin'" is a tour de force, perfectly balancing melody and intricate rhythm with Pedersen's bass leading the charge. The interplay between the instruments is dynamic and electrifying, creating a textured soundscape that is as rich today as it was nearly five decades ago.
This 180g heavyweight vinyl edition is not just an album - it’s an experience enhanced by exclusive liner notes from Pedersen's biographer, Thomas Ovesen. A jewel in any jazz aficionado’s collection, Jaywalkin' is a timeless exploration of virtuosity and a testament to Pedersen's indelible legacy in jazz history.

All it claims to be!
This product is all it claims to be!! Very smooth, buttery and hydrating. I do not enjoy the vanilla scented one. It has cinnamon in it which I was not expecting based on the description. If it was plain vanilla, I would definitely enjoy it more. I will probably buy the honey one over any of these other scents.

Nasty!
Literally is nasty, smells like cow fat. It’s like if they just scooped the fat from the cow into the chapstick tube. It’s grows. Now what I was expecting. I threw mine away.

Heals skin
It definitely dries out your skin quickly but I do recommend moisture so the skin won’t crack or you get open cuts as your dermatitis is healing. I have dermatitis really bad where my skin drys and hurts when I have a cut, So far it’s working as intended.
