Castle Panic: The Dark Titan is an expansion set to co-operative tower defence game, , designed by Justin De Witt and published by Fireside Games.
The Dark Titan, Agnarok, has returned from banishment and is seeking revenge on the inhabitants of Castle Panic. Bigger, stronger and more difficult to kill than other monsters, players must use all the means at their disposal to protect the castle from this fearsome new threat.
Agnarok is an eight-point monster that cannot be slain with instant kill effects or boulders. Heralds announce his approach. As each Herald appears news of their master's approach demoralises the defenders. His presence on the battlefield debilitates the defenders and even wounding the Titan can be dangerous. When defeated Agnarnok returns to the void and no Trophy can be claimed.
Agnarok is accompanied by a host of new monsters and effects:
- A Dark Sorceress spreads fear throughout the castle.
- Elite Goblins, Orcs and Trolls - Highly-trained monsters that can dodge attacks!
- Boom Trolls carry explosives into the heart of the castle.
- Plagues that blight defending units.
- A Wither token that reduces the available resources.
Fortunately for the inhabitants of Castle Panic, new ways to defend their home are introduced:
- Co-ordinated attacks using Barrage.
- Boiling oil for those close encounters at the castle walls.
- The Cavalier, whose bravery in the field of battle is legendary.
- Support tokens that resupply the castle - if they can survive the journey to castle.
With five levels of difficulty to choose from, Castle Panic: The Dark Titan will provide a challenge to even the most experienced players. The set also contains optional 'More Panic' and 'Less Panic' rules to increase and decrease the difficulty level to suit the players.
Castle Panic: The Dark Titan requires a copy of Castle Panic to play. It is fully compatible with and expansions.
